
How it Works
The SMS banking module was designed and written to enable authorised bank employees to validate clients' transfer instructions from their mobile phones by way of sending an SMS containing the employee's authentication code and "Approved/Declined" literals to the banking system.
The module can also be used for sending various types of messages and advices to the bank clients, e.g. account debit or credit advices. Bank clients are enabled to authorise standing orders before these are processed by the bank and send account statement requests to customer service.
The SMS module comprises of 3 component parts:
- SMS Modem Setup
- Operator Settings and Access Rights Setup
- Security Codes Generator
The Process:
- System is installed and set to desired specification by the bank
- Account holder agrees to set up alerting system on their account
- A link is set between their account and the account holders mobile phone number
- When the account has activity on it, a message will be sent instantly to the account holders phone
- If the action is not recognized by the account holder, they can report the fraud instantly
